Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman hopes that professional activity of graduates of the Program of Internship at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Central Executive Bodies will facilitate conversion of Ukraine into a modern European state, he said at the ceremony of delivery of certificates to graduates of the said Program on Friday, July 10.

Groysman said a total of 1,393 interns of the Program graduated this year.

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, who took part in the ceremony, called the Verkhovna Rada "a cradle of the Ukrainian democracy" and the place that pushes Ukrainian reforms forward.

The Ambassador noted that at present new political culture is starting to emerge in the walls of the Ukrainian Parliament.

He expressed hope that next week, the Verkhovna Rada will eye the draft law on introduction of decentralization amendments into the Constitution of Ukraine in first reading.

Addressing the participants of the event, Pyatt said that all of them were the embodiment of the Ukraine's future.
